Booking Policy
Life's unpredictability is something we acknowledge, and we know that sometimes things are beyond our control. However, please remember that cancellations need to be made with a 48-hour notice. Here are some important points to consider:
- If you miss your appointment or cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice, a charge of 50% or the full cost of your appointment may apply.
- Arriving late may result in incomplete services due to time constraints, leading to the application of the cancellation fee.
- Subsequent appointments will only be scheduled once the fee is settled.
- To secure salon appointments, new and existing clients, as well as services exceeding a certain amount, may be required to pay deposits.
These guidelines ensure that our stylists can maintain busy schedules and offer opportunities to those who might have otherwise missed out on appointments, promoting fairness for all clients.

Please be aware all color clients require a 48 hour skin test
Why 48 hours?
To effectively identify a potential allergy to hair dye, it is essential to allow ample time for your immune system to react. Allergic responses typically manifest within 48 hours of skin exposure, hence the significance of the 48-hour period for the hair dye skin test.
To conduct this test, schedule an appointment within 5 days or at least 48 hours before your hair coloring session. During this brief 5-minute visit to the salon, the product will be applied to your arm for 45 minutes before being rinsed off.
If there is no adverse reaction to the test, we can proceed with your hair coloring service. However, if you experience any redness, itching, or swelling, we are unable to proceed, and you should wash off the product immediately. Please inform us of your test results.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR THOSE WHO HAVE TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, many individuals have tested positive for the virus, potentially affecting allergic reactions. Hair color ingredients, particularly a chemical known as paraphenylenediamine (PPD), have been identified as common irritants and allergens responsible for most hair color reactions.
If you test positive during the patch test, please note that you will need to undergo another skin test.
Mark, the co-owner and most senior stylist, boasts over thirty years of experience in the hairdressing industry. He contributes a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the salon, covering all areas of hairdressing.
Mark's unparalleled understanding ranges from traditional and classic styling to cutting-edge modern techniques in coloring and cutting services.
Mark
Nicola, a co-owner of Paradox Hairdressing, oversees all operations of the business. She is dedicated to maintaining the salon's high standards by utilizing and offering top-quality hair products.
Additionally, as the Head of Marketing, Nicola consistently secures excellent publicity for the salon and ensures high levels of customer satisfaction.

Luke
Luke, our creative director and barber, brings over 20 years of experience in the hairdressing and barbering industry. He specializes in various coloring techniques such as technical and creative colors,
color correction, and balayage.
Additionally, Luke is proficient in modern and contemporary coloring and cutting styles. Seven years ago, he was honored with the Master Craftsmanship Diploma by the Hairdressing Council in London, and he maintains his state registration to this day.
Charlotte brings more than 23 years of experience in the hairdressing industry and over a decade of expertise in hair extensions.
Throughout her career, she has participated in courses focusing on creative coloring, men's cutting, and perming.
During her time in Essex, Charlotte owned a salon for a successful 10-year period. She excels in various coloring techniques and precision cutting.

Our new apprentice, Kodie, will soon be seeking clients to assist her during her apprenticeship.
Kodie has a passion for styling hair and is eager to master the art of creating the perfect blonde look.
She also aims to gain expertise in hair extension
fitting and styling.

Hair extensions applied with tape offer a fast solution to enhance both volume and length.
Micro Ring extensions are attached individually to natural hair without the need for heat, minimizing damage.
Wefts and flat weaves are provided as one continuous piece that can be cut to fit the client's requirements for a customized clip-in extension.

Before scheduling a hair extensions appointment, a consultation is mandatory. To secure the purchase of the hair extensions, the full balance must be settled, serving as your deposit.
The consultation fee is £10.
Kindly note that a £75 cancellation fee will apply if the appointment is canceled.
