Booking Policy

We understand that life happens and is out of our control sometimes. That said cancellations must be made within 48 hour notice.

Please be aware if you fail to make your appointment or if you give less than 48 hours' notice of cancellation,

you may incur a charge of 50% or the full cost of your appointment.

If you fail to make your appointment on time, The stylist may not have time to complete your services, which means that your

appointment may not go ahead and the above cancellation fee rules will apply.

Any further appointments will only be booked once the fee is paid.

New, existing clients and services over a certain amount may be asked to pay deposits to secure appointments at the salon.

These rules help to ensure that our stylists can keep their schedules busy with those people that may have otherwise missed out on appointments and to keep things fair.

We understand that exceptional circumstances may arise so please do speak to us, we are more than

happy to help.

Please be aware all color clients require a 48 hour skin test

Why 48 hours?

In order to detect a potential allergy to the hair dye, you need to give your immune system time to respond. Most allergic

reactions will occur within 48 hours of skin exposure, hence the 48-hour window

for the *hair dye skin test*.

This test is to be carried out a maximum 5 days or a minimum 48 hrs before the color appointment. We ask you to visit the

salon for a 5 minute appointment. The product needs to be left on your arm for 45 mins, then it can be washed off.

Should you receive no reaction to the test, we can proceed with your hair coloring service.

Should you receive a reaction in the form of redness, itching, swelling we CANNOT proceed and please wash off the

product straight away.

Since the COVID-19 outbreak and many people have been infected

with the virus. It has been reported that peoples allergy

reactions could have changed, This is hair color

ingredients, such as a chemical called paraphenylenediamine (PPD),

which is a known irritant and allergen. This is the culprit of

most reactions to hair color.

if you test positive after your patch please be aware you will

have to be re skin tested

Mark is both the owner and the most senior of the stylists, who has been in the hairdressing industry for over thirty years. He brings to the salon a wealth of experience and knowledge in all aspects of hairdressing.

He has an unrivaled knowledge of the industry from traditional and classic styling, to the most modern and contemporary cutting and coloring services. He is always available for hair advice so if you have any questions give him a call or speak to him in person.

Nicola

Nicola is a co-owner at Paradox Hairdressing and runs all aspects of the business.

She ensures that Paradox uses and stocks the best quality hair products available.

Nicola is Head of Marketing and she always makes sure the salon get lots of excellent publicity and customer satisfaction.

Luke

Luke is our creative director and barber who has worked as a hairdresser and barber for

18 years.

Specialising in technical, creative colors, color correction, balayage and all other

coloring techniques.

Luke also excels in modern/contemporary colouring and cutting.

7 years ago Luke was awarded the Master Craftsmanship Diploma by the

Hairdressing Council in London

and still holds state registration today.

Charlotte

Charlotte has recently relocated to Wales from Essex, where she successfully

owned a salon for the last 10 years.

With over 20 years experience in the hairdressing industry and over 10 years experience

in hair extensions. Over the years Charlotte has attended courses on

creative Coloring, men's cutting and perming.

She also specializes in all coloring techniques and cutting.

Paradox Hair Salon Cardiff was established in Danescourt, December 1995

by Mark Jackson and Nicola Schmidt.

We are a unisex hairdressing salon and our aim is to offer a relaxed and comfortable
